Krissy Moses, MS, LMHC

I have always been interested in how people make changes in their lives; how many people want to make changes yet struggle to do so and what it takes to finally make that shift. I started my formal education with an intensive course in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) when I was 18 years old, which showed me the possibility of personal change yet still left me wanting to know more. After a degree in Philosophy and birthing 2 healthy children, I went onto 15 years practicing as a Licensed Massage Therapist with my own business. Here I gained a first hand understanding of how our bodies store everything we have lived through, which only increased my interest in our human ability to heal. I then completed an extensive hypnotherapy training and practiced for a while, prior to completing my training as a Licensed Mental Health practitioner. I am now thrilled to be able to offer support and help facilitate your change from a varied and multi-dimensional background and lens. I am a forever student and will continue to learn what I can to help you in the best way that I can, so that you can be the best you, you can be!

I believe in the strength of the human spirit, and know that anyone, regardless of past experiences can accomplish what they set their mind on. No matter what challenges you face or have faced, I am here to help you set yourself free from past & current limitations. With your persistence, grit, humor & willingness to do something different, you can live a life you deem worth living. I am ready to roll up my sleeves and dig through the dirt with you, to help you reveal yourself as a blossomed whole.

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

I have trudged through the mud, sometimes kicking and screaming, and have left the rubble of an eating disorder, disordered drinking, clinical depression and debilitating anxiety behind. I am pleased and grateful to say that these struggles are truly behind me. It takes work and stubborn determination, and a knowing that life can be and should be better. Without getting a handle on my mental health, life was hard. It was a constant struggle. Now it is not. Yes, there will always be challenges yet I get to deal with them head first and let them go, rather than add this challenge to the bag of challenges I am dragging with me. I made a choice and make that choice every day. And I know that if you are reading this far, then you are ready. I am so excited for you!!

My Mission

My mission has always been to inspire and motivate others to make positive changes in their lives. I had to first learn how to do this for myself and now devote my life to helping others do the same, while continuing to do what is needed to improve my emotional, physical and spiritual life. Life is too short not to live it fully and my mission is to help you live your life fully…whatever that means to you! I do this on a one on one basis with individual clients, with a few people in group therapy and for larger groups of people by presenting at businesses and conferences to help improve staff moral and self care.

“Suffering is not holding you. You are holding suffering. When you become good at the art of letting sufferings go, then you’ll come to realize how unnecessary it was for you to drag those burdens around with you. You’ll see that no one else other than you was responsible. The truth is that existence wants your life to become a festival.” ~ Osho
